We are excited to announce a groundbreaking collaboration between Smart Village Movement (SVM) and NEOSAN, formalized through a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This innovative partnership is set to address critical waste management challenges in schools, healthcare facilities, rivers, lakes and public spaces in rural india.
NEOSAN, a leader in eco-friendly waste management, was founded with the mission to decarbonize polluting industries through their patented induction technology. Their expertise perfectly complements SVM’s commitment to sustainable development, aligning with global goals such as clean water, sanitation, and climate action.
The technology ensures RUHT(Rapid Ultra High Temperature) incineration of non-recyclable waste, reaching temperatures of 1200°C within 90 seconds and reducing emissions by 98% when compared to the Indian government’s standards for waste incineration. The technology uses less than ₹1 of electricity per kilo of waste handled and can be powered by renewable sources without the need for any fossil fuels. The company’s goal is to decentralise the handling of reject-waste like multi-layer packaging, sanitary pads, bio-medical waste which is often openly burnt or dumped in villages, spreading diseases and destroying air quality, soil, drinking water and food. Disposal of this toxic waste at source also ensures that the highly polluting collection, transportation over 100s of kilometres for disposal at cement factories or landfills is no longer required.
