Challenge
Access to quality education in rural Meghalaya is often hindered by inadequate school infrastructure. Many government schools face challenges such as dilapidated buildings, overcrowded classrooms, and insufficient learning facilities. These conditions negatively impact students’ academic performance, engagement, and overall learning experience. Without proper infrastructure, students struggle to reach their full potential, and teachers find it difficult to provide an optimal learning environment.
SVM Solution
Smart Village Movement (SVM), in collaboration with One School at a Time (OSAAT), is addressing these challenges by renovating and upgrading classrooms in rural government schools. By creating safe, modern, and engaging learning spaces, this initiative aims to enhance the quality of education and provide students with the resources they need to thrive. Through improved infrastructure, innovative learning tools, and community involvement, SVM is fostering a supportive environment for holistic student development.
